Noise grid v9 — Drifting
Rainbow striations that never stop wandering: this grid drifts because its noise offsets accumulate every frame instead of following the loop clock.
Rows of dots read as woven scanlines — red, orange, cyan, blue — bulging and creasing like fabric seen through rippled glass, while the whole weave slides in a direction that keeps changing its mind.
Unlike its siblings, the noise here has no time axis: the sample coordinates integrate a small signed speed each frame, and those speeds themselves step through sequences of positive and negative values, so the drift eases into reversals instead of oscillating on the clock. The noise roughness steps through its own sequence too, so the texture tightens and loosens as it wanders. Per cell, the sampled angle still sets the dot's offset, its eased weight and its hue.
