Tree v5 — Cords
Blue-and-gold cords twist between two points while a beat adds and removes strands — the same pulse that decides how many ruled lines cross the backdrop.
A handful of striped cords, blue and gold, twine from the top of the frame to the bottom, splitting, merging and ending in small rosettes of petals; dotted horizontal rules hang behind them.
A slow sine beat swinging between three and six is the piece's metronome: it sets the number of strands — cords materialise and dissolve mid-loop as the count crosses whole numbers — the number of petal strokes in each stamped rosette, and even how many rules the background grid draws. The cords themselves are one straight vertical path swung by sine and cosine of each strand's phase, revolving slowly with time, the overlapping rosette stamps fusing into rope.
