Tree v4 — Bretzel
Five thick strands pinned at both ends bow outward into a knotted lantern that slowly revolves, its bulge shaped by a tour through easing curves.
An onion of doughy orange strands, tied to a point above and below where the colour cools to blue-green; the body bows out, rolls around its own axis and keeps exchanging strands like a knot turning over in slow motion.
Both ends stay pinned because the wave strength follows a circular profile — zero at either tip, full at the waist — and each strand's offset is simply sine and cosine of its share of the circle, drifting with time so the cage revolves. The odd part is the bulge's silhouette: every step's progression is pushed through the entire library of easing functions and the result interpolated across over time, so the lantern's curve is literally a catalogue of easings played in sequence.
