Torsade v2 — Chain
Stacked ropes of two plaited strands wind tight, relax to parallel and wind up again, neighbouring rows twisting in opposite directions.
Horizontal ropes stack the frame, each a plait of two rainbow strands chasing each other. The twist scrolls steadily along every rope, neighbouring rows turning opposite ways, and the whole set periodically winds tight, slackens to two parallel bands, then winds back up.
Each rope is a mirrored pair of disc stamps along a straight line, twisted by a phase that runs on time — the scrolling — while the total angle swept from one end to the other is itself a sine of time, sweeping from two full turns through zero to two turns the other way. That breathing angle span is what unwinds the plait flat and rewinds it, and the alternating spin is a per-row sign flip.
