A flat letterform stitched in blue crosses sits behind chains of warm and cool spheres that surge forward along a travelling wave.
Two renderings of the same text share the frame: a static crosshatch of small blue X strokes tracing the current character, and fat shaded spheres piling along parts of the outline, running red-orange into cyan. The spheres ride a steep wave — neighbouring rows sit at very different depths — while the whole scene sways a few degrees side to side.
One noise draw per cell splits the population: on one side of the threshold a cell stamps a sphere displaced in depth by a row-phased sine, on the other it drops to a flat cross in a single fixed blue, unshaded on purpose. A second pair of noise gates trims stray cells outside the glyph, so the crosshatch stays crisp while the sphere chains do all the moving.
