Torsade v7 — Melted
A grid of molten double strands, the disc-stamping original moved onto the GPU frame for frame.
The CPU version walked each spiral with hundreds of interpolation steps and stamped two large, heavily overlapping circles per step — a mirrored pair offset by a sine and cosine wave. The overlap is the whole look: a thick molten strand rather than a row of dots.
Here the grid of spirals is one full-screen fragment shader. Every pixel scans the spirals' samples, unions the discs and keeps the one drawn last, matching the original's painter ordering exactly. The colour is reworked into a thin-film spectrum that cycles along each strand and shimmers across the width of every disc — soap bubble rather than flat rainbow.
