Torsade v4 — Calm
Pairs of tapered strands drift in slow waves, thickening and thinning as they go, crossing now and then in an unhurried X.
Tapered strands drift across the frame in pairs, swelling from a point to a thick band and back along their length. The waves are shallow and slow; twins mostly run side by side and only occasionally trade places in a long, quiet crossing.
Each pair is one line of mirrored disc stamps, but the disc diameter is itself a travelling wave — one twin fattens where the other thins, which gives the calligraphic taper. The bend applied to the line is a sine folded through another sine and kept small, so the strands never coil; this version earns its name by turning every dial of the stamped-wave recipe toward slack.
