Torsade v12 — Gradient worms
Bright segments glow and crawl along a coil that is mostly swallowed by darkness, like worms of colour inching around an unseen corkscrew.
Most of the coil is swallowed by black; what shows is a stack of short glowing segments — orange, magenta, cyan, lime — inching along like worms around an unseen corkscrew. Segments brighten, crawl a little, and hand their glow to the next stretch of the curve.
One strand of several hundred discs corkscrews down the frame, its winding frequency tightening toward the far end because the twist phase is scaled by position along the line. A brightness wave rides the same length and divides the fill colour, dropping most of the strand to near-black so only the crests glow; even the clock is bent — a sine nudges time forward and back, so the crawl surges and eases instead of ticking evenly.
