Pulse v2 — Kraken
Eight shaded tentacles curl out of the dark, each tipped with a glowing bead, the whole crown rolling slowly through the rainbow.
A fan of shaded horns curls up from the darkness like tentacles breaking the surface, each one capped with an incandescent bead. The bases stay thick and murky; colour runs around the crown and keeps drifting through the spectrum.
The ring of dots from the first version now spins with time while its radius swells and shrinks on a cosine, so the stack of hundreds of progressively thinner, brighter strokes smears into curled cones instead of blobs. The bead at each tip is simply the end of the pile, where the strokes are thinnest and least dimmed.
