Semaphore v0 — Dots
Huge ringed discs drift and eclipse one another; over the loop each splits into a ring of orbiting dots and merges back as the count per revolution oscillates.
A handful of enormous soft-stepped discs, each ringed like a target, orbit a shared centre and eclipse one another on black. Over the loop a disc divides into several dots spaced around its orbit and collapses back into one, while the whole formation slowly turns.
No circle is ever drawn: each disc is a single p5 point whose stroke weight starts near a thousand pixels, restamped over a stack of passes with the weight shrinking toward 75 and the colour brightening, every pass nudged a few degrees further along the orbit. That stack of offset, shrinking dots is what produces the concentric rings and the sawtooth rims where passes fan apart. The number of points sharing each orbit follows a sine of loop time between one and nine, and the red, green and blue channels read separate sines and cosines of the orbit angle, which is where the hue sweep around each formation comes from.
