Ribbons v7 — Travelling flower abrubt
A beaded bloom drifts around a starburst of rays, snapping abruptly into new lobe counts as its fold value steps through a preset cycle.
Chains of glossy beads swirl around the centre of a fine starburst, gathering into one, two or three lobes. The regrouping is not smooth: the figure visibly snaps into each new arrangement, and the whole bloom slowly precesses around the frame.
The lobe count is driven through a short cycle of preset values with only light smoothing, so transitions land as jumps — the abruptness the name records. A second, slower rotation is stacked on top of the petal spin, dragging the whole figure around, while the ray backdrop is an independent radial fan swinging on its own clock.
