Animated text points v9 — Warping
Chunky mosaic letters shear into striped fans as rotation waves cross the grid, every block keeping a flat colour pulled from drifting noise.
One character at a time from a short word, built from squat blocks in flat reds, blues, teals and golds — no outlines, no shading. Waves of tilt run through the grid fast enough that rows smear into striped fans at the letter's edges, then snap back legible, while the block colours crawl as the noise field beneath them drifts.
Each block takes its rotation from two sines — one phased by row, one by column — before being pushed into place, so the deformation travels as a wave instead of tumbling every cell independently. Colour is sampled once per cell from scrolling noise into a spectral ramp, and the character masks are cached distance fields, letting the word advance with a cheap lookup per frame.
