Tree v2 — Linear
Six strands fall from a single spire and cross into a woven chandelier — they only ever sway horizontally, which is what plaits them into a flat lattice.
From a thin spike at the top, six thick strands fan out, cross and recross into a bell-shaped lattice, the spectrum sliding along each one before they fuse at the bottom into a single orange mass of star tips.
The version's rule is in its name: the wave displaces x only, never y, so the strands sweep across one another in the plane and read as weaving rather than whipping. Each strand is the same vertical path stamped with small line stars that lengthen and fatten towards the bottom; the wave's strength grows down the path with an elastic ease, rippling the amplitude instead of swelling it smoothly, and the stamps rock within a bounded angle rather than spinning.
