Trace vectors v4 — Sample factor
Digit outlines strung as rainbow beads, caught mid-morph between numerals; the full spectrum runs along each chain like a colour wheel unrolled.
Dotted glyph outlines hang over a three-panel backdrop, one collapsed into a scrawl, another still legible, each traced in beads whose hue walks the full spectrum along the chain.
Nine intermediate outlines are interpolated across the digit morph and spread over a short horizontal run, with each strand's hue set by its position in the outline — the unrolled colour wheel. The eased schedule of sampling densities the version is named for is actually wired into the palette's phase, not the geometry: the spectrum slides in the same lurching rhythm the density would have had. A travelling wave that would bend the strands in y or z is built in but switched off by default.
