Tree v6 — Walking
Three rainbow-chevroned legs dangle from a point and paddle in slow circles while the vertical grid scrolls past — a puppet walking on a treadmill.
Three drooping fronds hang from a single point, banded in zig-zag spectrum stripes; their tips trail low and paddle round in loops while thin vertical rules glide steadily leftward behind them, lending the figure a marching gait it does not actually have.
Each leg is the usual stamped vertical path, but with no rotation on the stamps at all — the stars of up to four crossing strokes keep a fixed orientation, and their overlap is what knits the many hue cycles along the path into chevrons. The stride comes from offsetting each leg by sine and cosine of its phase minus time with different easings on x and y, so the feet trace lopsided loops; the treadmill illusion is the backdrop's, whose grid lines scroll and wrap at the frame's edge.
