Face mesh v1
The webcam face as a glowing constellation: 468 tracked landmarks drawn as additive dots that swell when the mouth opens and warm when you smile.
Each frame the webcam image passes through a face tracker and comes back as 468 landmark positions, drawn as small additively blended dots so the face reads as a glowing point cloud on a dark field. The cloud follows every head turn live, and the expression feeds back into the drawing: opening the mouth swells the dots to well over double size, smiling shifts their hues warmer.
The tracking is MediaPipe's FaceLandmarker, which reports expression blendshapes — mouth open, smile, blink, brow raise — alongside the mesh itself. Those scores arrive as plain 0-to-1 values, so the sketch multiplies dot size by one and offsets the palette by another; the hues themselves sweep once around the spectrum from the first landmark to the last, which is what stripes the face with colour.
