Dotted copies of a numeral ring an invisible cylinder; a travelling sine wave picks which specks light up as the whole cage tips, rolls and spins.
Stippled arcs orbit a common axis: the numeral is drawn as dot outlines, stamped dozens of times around an invisible cylinder, and only slivers of each copy are lit at any instant. The whole cage pitches and rolls through an eased sequence while spinning continuously, so the fragments read as confetti rings in flight.
The glyph is sampled once into outline points, and every ring station re-uses that same point set, rotated to face along the rim. A sine expression over a dot's position, its station and the loop clock gates visibility — a dot draws only when the wave dips below a threshold — and a spectral palette assigns hue by station, so colour bands chase the wave around the ring.
