# Torsade v11 — Infinite A mirrored pair of thick strands ties itself into a knot that never settles, winding, crossing and re-knotting in shifting green, pink and violet. Source: https://steevepommier.com/motion/torsade-v11-infinite/ Section: Motion Published: 2026-07-07 Tags: 2d, iridescent --- Two thick mirrored strands tangle in the middle of the frame, tying themselves into a loose knot, sliding apart and knotting again in some new figure. Colour pools in patches of green, salmon-pink, blue and violet that migrate along the tubes. The pair is stamped along a straight line like its siblings, but the twist angle is fed back through itself: the mapping's own bounds are sines and cosines of the position and of time, so winding rate and direction drift chaotically instead of repeating a clean helix. Each channel of the fill follows a different combination of that angle, which is why the palette separates into shifting colour regions rather than one rainbow sweep.
