A fat ring of light sits alone on black, rolling, squashing and folding onto
itself; blue slides to orange and yellow around the rim, and every deformation
is traced by wider, dimmer outlines stacked behind it.

The vertical guide of the earlier strands has been bent into a circle: points
around a full turn each contribute a short chord to a time-shifted neighbour,
so the loop is really a chain of tiny bridges. It is drawn in several passes —
few fat dim spokes first, then many thin bright ones — and the chord endpoints
are mirrored through the centre on a slow cosine, which is what makes the ring
collapse and reopen.
