# Neon v0 — Legacy A heavy rainbow cord writhes down a black canvas, re-knotting itself as its wave shape glides between preset curl patterns. Source: https://steevepommier.com/motion/neon-v0-legacy/ Section: Motion Published: 2026-07-07 Tags: 2d, iridescent --- A single thick strand hangs down the middle of the frame and never stops writhing: loops tighten, slide along the cord and release, while colour runs the full spectrum along its length. The whole figure sways as its curl pattern slowly trades one knot shape for another. There is no curve object behind it. Points are spaced along a straight vertical guide, each pushed sideways by paired sine and cosine polar offsets, and stamped as one enormous round stroke dot; hundreds of overlapping stamps fuse into the tube. The polar exponents glide through a short preset sequence of integers, which is what re-knots the curl, and this founding version lays the strand in a single bare pass — the glow halos arrive in its successors.
